In this class it can be either 1 on 1 or 2. This class is for the beginner or the experienced smith, the only prerequisite is that you’re able to swing a 8lb sledge hammer for 7 hours.

This is where you will be taught how to make your very own 2.2 lb rounding hammer and how to fit a handle to it. At the end of the day you will have a fully functioning hammer to start "heatin n beatin" at your own shop

1 on 1 class will be myself and the student both taking turns to swing the sledge or if your feeling strong on the day you can do it all your self.

2 on 1 class will be 2 students making their own hammers. each taking turns to swing the sledge on each others hammer billet.

If work is completed early we will look at making some extra tools for you to go home with.

All you need to bring is natural fiber long sleeved shirt, natural fiber long pants, leather boots, eye/ear protection and gloves.

I am central to some shopping centers so if you like fast food, sushi or subway. It is a short 2 min drive from my workshop.

Cost for the day - 1 person $450 or

2 people for for $800

Hours - 0800-1600. 30 min to 60 min lunch break at 1230
